Book Installation Piece
Winter 2007

I recently had the opportunity to clean 1,500 books in the Knox College library. I used this opportunity to create an installation piece about a fantasy gathering of books after the human guardians leave them alone. I want to capture the moment in this makeshift assembly hall as they to plot their eventual escape from confinement. I chose black and white to highlight the sunbeams tempting the books with freedom.
